OK so you've found THE dress.....

But what about all the possibilities to enhance your dress?

Bridal accessories play a crucial role in enhancing the overall look of your wedding dress, adding personal flair and completing the whole look. Some dresses look better without a veil, while some look "complete" once the right veil is worn.

Nothing is set in stone, it very much depends on the venue, your personality and of course, your budget!

As with everything, there is a huge choice out there but to give you a few ideas of what you might like to consider:

I am a stockist for Richard Designs, Athena Bridal, Jupon Petticoats & Accessories and Bianco Evento who offer beautiful styles to fit in with your style of dress.

1. Veils:

The classic bridal accessory, veils range from short, whimsical styles to long, dramatic cathedral lengths. The choice of veil can significantly alter the appearance of the dress, adding a traditional or modern touch.

It can be a bit daunting, but basically you can have 1 or 2 tiers which means you have a "blusher" which was traditionally worn over the Bride's face until the father gave away his daughter.

Nowadays, very few brides opt for that option, but it does have the added benefit of some extra cover over the shoulders in case you're concerned!

2. Headpieces:

Tiaras, floral crowns, hairpins, and combs can be used to accentuate the hairstyle and complement the dress. They can be as understated or as lavish as desired, often embellished with crystals, pearls, or floral elements.

3. Shoes:

The choice of shoes can reflect the bride's personality - so many of my Brides wear Converse trainers or even wellies!! I no longer stock shoes as there are so many choices online but I would recommend Irregular Choice for something very different.

4. Belts and Sashes:

These accessories can add a touch of glamour to the dress and help to define the waistline. They come in various styles, from simple satin ribbons to ornate, bejeweled designs. I now have some amazing wedding capes too!

5. Gloves:

Once a staple of bridal fashion, gloves are making a comeback. They can add a touch of elegance, especially for more formal or vintage-themed weddings. With one of my classic satin ballgown wedding dresses they really make an statment! 6. Boleros or shrugs: There are so many lace and satin jackets and boleros that I have here in stock that can really change the look of your dress. I aslo now stock Bianco Evento "Mix n Match" range which means you can choose the right skirt (short, tea length or full length) then combine it with the top of your choice! Bingo! You have the wedding dress of your choosing.

Remember, the key to choosing bridal accessories is to ensure they complement your dress and reflect your personal style, without overwhelming the overall look. Each accessory should add a touch of personality, making you feel uniquely beautiful on your special day.
